Become a life-giver.
Learning to steward our bodies, our families and our homes well
so that we may be revived and therein revive those around us.
Mary consoles Eve by Sr. Grace Remington OCSO.
Why Revive Eve?
We blame Eve for many of our mishaps today.
We blame her for our pains in childbirth, our controlling and nagging nature, our oppression, our servitude, our abuse, our aging bodies, the loss of our beauty, our unruly children, our disgruntled husbands, and our disfunctional homes.
When something goes wrong how often do we hear,
"Well, if Eve hadn't eaten the apple . . . "
(how did we ever come up with the forbidden fruit being an apple anyway?!?)
The first time I saw the image to the left it resonated with something deep within me. I have been an extremely broken woman. I continue to walk in brokenness from time to time. I am surrounded by women who believe lies about their beauty and worth, who live in broken homes, or partake in unhealthy relationships.
But this illustration reminds me there is hope. There is a way back to restoration and health. There is a way to become the beautiful, life-giving women we were created to be, full of wisdom and truth, empowered with purpose.
This website is designed to encourage, inspire and educate. It invites those who join the journey to grow in stewardship, accountability, and Biblical womanhood.
Revive Eve Manifesto
I believe women were uniquely created by God for a specific role with a divinely designated purpose, and I go to the Word of God to discover God’s design for womanhood.
I believe beauty, health and wellness are intertwined. I believe our bodies are intricately created by God. He makes all things beautiful in its design. It is my responsibility to steward my body toward health and wellness that I may be capable for His service.
I believe as a wife I am to be a help and not a hinderance to my husband. He should be able to trust me, and I should do him no harm, in my words, thoughts, attitudes or actions.
I believe pregnancy and birth are a divine privilege that God entrusted to women; not a punishment that he laid on women out of spite. The capability to bring forth life is a gift from God.
I believe God’s call to go into all the world and make disciples starts at home. One role of a mother is to teach her children the truths of God and makes disciples of them.
I believe God lovingly equips women for the task of creating a beautiful and restful home for practicing hospitality. I believe preparing a safe and creative space is one of the greatest gifts a woman can give to her husband, children, and neighbors.
Mission:
Revive the “life-giving one” in every woman through encouragement, story-telling, teaching, and modeling healthy stewardship of our bodies, families, and homes.
Vision:
To see hearts and minds transformed causing a departure from conformity to destructive cultural concepts of womanhood; beauty & wellness; marriage; pregnancy & birth; child-rearing and home-making.
Core Values
Respect for God's Word.
I believe that the Bible is the true and holy word of God.
My writing reflects how the word of God is useful to us teach us what is right; make us realize and correct what is wrong in our lives; and prepare us to do what is good.
Respect for all People.
I believe that all people are created in the image of God.
In my writing, I seek to treat all people with respect and dignity, recognizing their inherent value as created beings, loved by God.
Speak truth in love.
I believe speaking truth backed by love, is of utmost importance.
Through writing I desire to speak life to the reader; lovingly responding with grace, in truth to questions facing women in our culture today.
Live simply & mindfully.
I believe all people are responsible for good stewardship of available resources.
In writing I hope to encourage women towards better stewardship of our hearts, minds & emotions; our marriages, children & homes; our bodies, health, & wellness.
Authenticity
& integrity.
I believe where there is vulnerability and authenticity, people are set free.
My writing is often raw and bleeding of my own insecurities and failures, which God has used in the past, to set others free from the expectations that confine them. It’s my desire that women join me at this table without mask or pretense, so we can learn and grow together
Make beauty known.
I believe the desire for beauty is an inherent trait of the feminine heart.
Using writing as my vehicle, I desire to make beauty known in the world around me, and inspire women to discover their own unique beauty within, that the world needs for them to make known.
